Dental Clinic Services

The primary function of our clinic facility is to provide regular dental hygiene visits (screening, oral health instruction, cleanings, x-rays, fluoride varnish, sealant applications, risk assessment, etc.). If additional dental treatments are needed, our referral and follow-up services are deployed. These treatments are provided for the uninsured, underinsured and underserved children and young adults (ages 3-25) at no charge.

Our clinic facility is located in Bend at the Rosie Bareis Community Center. We serve all of Central Oregon. We have over 70 volunteer dentists, hygienists, periodontists, and orthodontists in our region that support Kemple Clinic in delivery of more acute dental treatments and specialties. The Central Oregon Dental Society is a primary supporter of our efforts, supporting our work through this network and helping us to communicate with the dental community. OUR CLINIC SERVICES ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY AND REQUIRE A REFERRAL FROM A COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION (SEE OUR LIST OF REFERRAL AGENCIES).

In the case of young adults (ages 19-25) that are uninsured, underinsured or underserved, Kemple Clinic is partnered with Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) to determine eligibility for our collective integrated services and ensure that the young adult receives coordinated healthcare (medical/behaviorial/oral health integration http://www.vim-cascades.org/patients/who-can-be-a-patient/

Our clinic personnel ensure that families who are eligible for ODS the Children’s Dental Program ($500 annual reimbursement) are enrolled each year. Our Clinic arranges for the annual enrollment process, provide hygiene treatments (screening, cleanings, x-rays, fluoride and sealant applications, risk assessment, etc.) and regular hygiene visits, and, if exigent dental treatments are needed, Kemple follows-up with assigned ODS dental provider to ensure additional care is arranged and completed. Kemple creates a recall file for these patients and sets up the patient for regular preventative hygiene visit at our clinic facility (twice a year). Kemple Clinic basically supplements the ODS program by performing two hygiene visits per year for the ODS covered child. This saves the $500 yearly ODS insurance maximum for more critical dental treatments when needed.
